What are Fillers?
At Luxxery, Dr. Ayman Hakki aims to reverse the tedious process of aging with a perfected technique. While it is a known fact that wrinkles become more noticeable with age, Luxxery helps its clients delay the process using fillers. Luxxery's injectable fillers reduce the amount of wrinkling by improving one's own skin quality. As skin ages, it loses its underlying support structure. Soft tissue atrophy usually affects skin around the lips, chin, cheeks, under the eyes, in the corners of the mouth and the area between the nose and mouth. The formulas are injected into the wrinkles or scars to flatten deep folds and fine lines, elevate depressed scars and enhance lip size and contour. To reduce these signs of aging and prevent wrinkles from deepening, Luxxery has a successful history of treating wrinkles using filler products such as JUVEDERM, Restylane, Perlane and Radiesse.
Fillers are best used in the corners of the mouth, cheeks, forehead, brows, and lips. Each procedure differs in cost, ease of injection or transplantation, potential for sensitivity, duration of effect and method of injection.
When using a filler like JUVEDERM® or Radiesse, the concept of synergy is important. Traditionally, fillers are used alone. At Luxxery, Dr. Hakki offers superior results by using fillers in combination with BOTOX® Cosmetic. An example of an effective filler/BOTOX® Cosmetic combination is the treatment of any fillers listed above with BOTOX® Cosmetic producing immediately rejuvenating results.
Recovery
Taking only 20-30 minutes to recover, post-procedure care is minimal with only mild discomfort surrounding sensitive areas such as the lips. Following the procedure, Luxxery patients can expect to see results within 48 hours. Results last up to six months, however Dr. Hakki recommends repeated treatments every four months to maintain the plump, youthful affect.
Fat
Harvested from a patient's own body, fat can be processed and injected as a filler.
JUVEDERM, Restylane and Perlane
Hyaluronic acid is a synthetic compound that is similar to the natural substance found in our joints and soft tissues. Hyaluronic acid is not an animal product and lasts six to twelve months. Oftentimes the product is injected at the dermal level and is effective for both fine and deep wrinkles. Hyaluronic acids are manufactured by several different companies and Luxxery offers JUVEDERM® Ultra, JUVEDERM® Ultra Plus, Restylane and Perlane.

Radiesse®
Radiesse is a soft-tissue filler made of calcium-based microspheres suspended in a water-base gel. Radiesse is often used as a treatment for facial wrinkles and contour depressions. Like other fillers, it is an injectable product that can be administered at Luxxery under local anesthesia, meaning patients will not be put to sleep. It is injected into the deep sub-dermal layer, unlike Hyaluronic acids that are injected directly into the dermis. Radiesse has advantages over other fillers because of its efficacy for deeper wrinkles and lasts up to one year. Radiesse® works particularly well in areas surrounding the cheeks and mouth. Radiesse is also beneficial in augmenting the outer border of the lips, creating a pouty, full-lipped look. Treatment with Radiesse® dermal filler is simple and convenient. The procedure can be performed during a lunch break, taking 30 minutes to an hour. Results are immediate and can last up to a year. The long-lasting effects of Radiesse® dermal filler can reduce the need for retreatment, saving Luxxery patient’s time and money.
